• Receive your localization translation kit.

• Read the full project carefully which includes studying files, instructions, style guides, and glossary references. 

• Consult client or project manager if need further clarification.

• Spend a minimum of half an hour on the project application or website for a better understanding.

• Import the file into the CAT tool. 

• Start creating a draft translation and client’s glossary. 

•  As quality is my utmost priority, I prefer not to forcefully translate ambiguous sentences and keep them reserved for the next reading.

• Prefer being observant in forming error-free syntax through different approaches.

• Accuracy- Making files free of inconsistency in conveying expression by removing errors of omission or insertion or mistranslation. 

• Linguistics- Following target language syntax, spellings and grammar rules. 

• Style- Following target country standards of expressions to make translation truly localized. Avoiding outdated, overly colloquial, overly formal expressions.

• Compliance- With the length and functionality of the translation where word/character counts, variables, and tags are taken into account.

• Proofreading is one of my most favourite stages in translation. I do proofreading in two stages. First, ‘bilingually’ to check the correct translation and second ‘monolingually’ to spell check everything. 

• Back translation to recheck the contextual quality and natural & linguistic accuracy.

• Technical checks- strings, variables, brackets, punctuation marks, space, and fonts, etc. 

• One smooth reading with a fresh mind.

• High-Quality human translation submitted within the agreed deadline.

• Clients will receive tasks done with zero biasness as I do my task wholeheartedly and without procrastination.

• QA report (if asked).
